The Mission of Lampley Fitness: Building Habits That Last
You want to feel stronger, take better care of yourself, and follow through on the goals you keep setting. But between work, family, and everything else on your plate, figuring out where to start can feel like another job.
Maybe you have started before. You had a plan, bought the groceries, and made it to the gym. Then your schedule changed, motivation dropped, or one missed day turned into a few weeks.
If that sounds familiar, you are welcome here.
I’m Coach Cortez. As a NASM-certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, my mission at Lampley Fitness is to help you build a healthier, stronger, more confident life through fitness, practical nutrition, and habits you can sustain.
The mission: make lasting change part of everyday life
Lampley Fitness is behavior change coaching delivered through fitness and nutrition. That means we work on both your plan and your ability to carry it out in your actual life.
Your goals matter. So do your starting point, schedule, experience, preferences, and the challenges that tend to get in your way. Coaching should help connect those pieces into a clear next step.
The aim is to help you understand what you are doing, why it matters, and how to keep moving forward as life changes. Over time, I want you to build confidence in your own decisions and trust in your ability to follow through.
A plan that meets you where you are
Some people come to coaching ready to learn their way around the gym. Others have trained for years but struggle to stay consistent. You might want to improve your body composition, build strength, feel more capable, or establish a routine after a long break.
We start with an honest look at where you are today. From there, we identify priorities and build a manageable path forward.
For a busy professional, that might mean finding training sessions that fit around the workday. For a military member, it might mean balancing fitness goals with changing duty demands. For a parent, it might mean creating a routine that works alongside family responsibilities.
The details will differ. The commitment to practical, personalized support stays the same.
What that looks like in coaching
Training with purpose. Your workouts should connect to your goals and current ability. We focus on learning movements, building confidence, and progressing at a pace you can manage.
Nutrition you understand. We work on practical food choices and routines that fit your needs. The goal is to help you make informed decisions at home, at work, and when your day does not go as planned.
Habits you can practice. A goal becomes more useful when it has a clear action attached to it. That might mean scheduling your next workout, planning tomorrow’s lunch, or choosing a realistic backup when time is short.
Accountability with a purpose. Check-ins give us a chance to look at what happened, recognize progress, discuss barriers, and decide what needs to change. Honest feedback helps us make the plan more useful.
Consistency includes learning how to adjust
Let’s say you planned three workouts, but an unexpected work demand disrupted your week. We can look at which sessions still fit, whether a shorter option would help, and what to change for next week.
That conversation matters. It gives you a way to respond instead of leaving you stuck wondering how to restart.
I want you to get better at recognizing your barriers and making a workable adjustment. Showing up can look different from one week to the next. We use those experiences to build a routine you can return to.
Progress you can recognize
Depending on your goals, progress may include changes in body composition, strength, or conditioning. We also pay attention to the skills and behaviors that support those outcomes.
You might feel more comfortable in the gym, prepare meals more consistently, understand your training better, or return to your routine sooner after a difficult week. Those are meaningful steps worth acknowledging.
The larger goal is to help you become more capable of taking care of yourself for the long run.
